GOLDSMITHS UNIVERSITY OF LONDON supports Opere Vive

The Computing Department of the Goldsmiths University of London has a unique vision of computing research as an interdisciplinary set of practices, methods and techniques. It remains one of the UK’s leading institutions for creative code, attracting the finest academics in the field, whilst producing world-renowned research in interaction, creativity and machine learning. Many of this department staff have creative practices outside of, but frequently related to computing: they are musicians, artists, social activists, and writers. The work this department does is significant on the world stage, published in the best journals and presented at the best conferences. They have branched out to include more core computer science work and interactions with other disciplines. They are devoted to integrating ideas across different disciplines and world views. The Department’s impact on the world takes many forms: art and music helps them provide public engagement with science.

The Computing Department of the Golsmiths University of London supports OPERE VIVE and will host a talk about it on October 2021. This scheduled presentation of OPERE VIVE will be a further development of the engaging talk that Isabella Indolfi gave on October 2017 at the the Golsmiths University as part of Whitehead Lectures program, titled “Media Art between audience and environment. Italian case study”.
